Dry Land Water Safety
Today, my class and I had Caleb to talk about water safety. He told us about different and important things about what we need if we're going out to a beach or a lake and why.
It's all too simple. We started off by talking about the safety things to learn on the beach. Like, keeping an adult or parent to be supervised at all times, sunblock, hat, towel and some spare clothes to finish off. Well, you know of course.
Caleb also told us to identify a rip. A rip is some sort of current going on and when you think you got caught in one you lie down and float while your hand up wide in a fist. Caleb explained the example to us and to never wave your hand around. The lifeguard thinks your acting silly in the water.
Caleb is a great, funny guy. I explained about the reasons and all that in a hilrious way of his. He's fun talk to and maybe he'll come back next year. Well, sooner or later.
